On 08 March 2023, the Philippine Statistics Authority – Davao Occidental officials and staff attended the opening ceremony for the 2023 National Women’s Month Celebration, held at the Municipal covered New Malita Gym, Poblacion, Malita, Davao Occidental. 
 

The opening ceremony has various activities that showcase the future program, inspirational messages, and talents of the association’s members. It started with a holy mass in Santo Rosario Parish, followed by a Motorcade, and the program proper was formally opened through the welcoming message of WAM President Jean Seekins Bautista. The “Gulayan sa Barangay Program” was launched during the activity, which will have three (3) location categories: coastal, upland, and lowland areas. The association also invited women with great achievements to share their experiences with the members, one of these women is Ms. Djamyla M. Caballero, Municipal Local Government Operation Officer (MLGOO) of Malita, Davao Occidental. Some women groups showcased their talents to add joy to the occasion.
