14 September 2022 – NABUNTURAN. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Davao de Oro conducted the Turnover Ceremony in its change of leadership in the Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) of the province last 12 September 2022.

To grace the activity, Officer-in-Charge Regional Director (OIC RD) Randolph Anthony B. Gales of the Regional Statistical Services Office XI (RSSO XI) gave a message of support to the reassigned Chief Statistical Specialist (CSS) Abraham Enrico E. Gulay, Jr. and the incoming OIC of PSA Davao de Oro, Supervising Statistical Specialist (SSS) Nova P. Vicente. OIC RD Gales first delivered his message in celebrating the PSA 9th Anniversary highlighting that the commitment of the office to deliver its mandate is strengthened through the years and it is a symbol of trust that PSA has been the lead agency for the implementation of the Republic Act (RA) No. 11315 or the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Act. In addition, he commended CSS Gulay for leading PSA Davao de Oro for the past six years with tenacity and he is confident that CSS Gulay can do more in his team in Davao del Sur. Moreover, he encouraged OIC Vicente to step up as she will lead the Davao de Oro personnel to the next level, not just as a colleague but as an officer-in-charge of the whole operations of the team.

CSS Gulay in his message expressed his gratitude to the PSA Davao de Oro personnel especially to the pioneering staff who helped him bring the team to where it is now from six years ago. As he will be temporarily transferred to PSA Davao del Sur, he is geared up to another challenge and he hopes to lead his new team better than how he led PSA Davao de Oro. After turning over the key of responsibility from CSS Gulay to OIC Vicente, the latter also voiced her appreciation in the leadership of CSS Gulay and promised to do her best in leading the team, not by merely surviving but rather thriving with teamwork and constant and open communication as keys for the betterment of the services of PSA Davao de Oro.

The ceremony was capped off with photo opportunities with these two great leaders of the office together with the regular staff and hired personnel who has been with them in delivering quality data and customer satisfaction in the service of the Davaoeños, its stakeholders, and partner agencies.
