Statistical Specialist II Heidy E. Pulido delivered the presentation on 7S Principles on 30 January 2025 at PSO-Davao del Norte, Osmeña Street, City of Tagum, Davao del Norte

30 January 2025 – CITY OF TAGUM. The Philippine Statistics Authority-Provincial Statistical Office of Davao del Norte conducted a briefing on the principles of 7S on 30 January 2025 at its Training Room, PSO-Davao del Norte, Osmeña Street, City of Tagum, Davao del Norte. The 7S is the expanded version of the 5S, wherein the initial 5S methodology focused on sorting, cleaning, standardizing, and sustaining the work environment, while the 7S is a new methodology that has been modified to incorporate a culture of safety and team spirit.

This initiative forms part of the PSA Systems Quality Management System (QMS) and aims to enhance workplace efficiency, productivity, and employee engagement. Participants of the briefing include the PSO-Davao del Norte staff and personnel involved in the ongoing 2024 Census of Population and Community-Based Monitoring System (POPCEN-CBMS) data processing. They serve as the PSA’s primary external clients, playing a vital role in ensuring quality statistical products and services.

Participants were introduced to the 7S principles—Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety, and Spirit—with speakers emphasizing their role in streamlining processes and fostering a productive work environment.

Through this activity, PSO-Davao del Norte reaffirmed its commitment to continuous QMS improvement, with participants eager to apply 7S principles to enhance service delivery and operational excellence.
