The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), in collaboration with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), launched the National ID eVerify on 10 June 2024. This platform provides a secure, streamlined solution to enhance security and facilitate the onboarding process for the National ID system’s relying parties. As a reliable identity verification tool, National ID eVerify uses advanced facial recognition technology to match an individual’s face and other registered details with the National ID registry, minimizing the risk of fraud in transactions.

The onboarding process involves three key stages:

1.    Regulatory Onboarding: The PSA will verify submitted documents to ensure compliance with all legal requirements for the authentication service.
2.    Technical Onboarding: The DICT will provide access to the Application Programming Interface (API) key, facilitating integration of the National ID Authentication Services into existing systems for seamless user experience.
3.    Development and Go-Live: After system integration, the authentication service is deployed and becomes operational, with a three-year subscription validity.

The National ID eVerify not only strengthens identity verification but also fosters collaboration across sectors, building trust and efficiency in transactions. The PSA encourages all relying parties to integrate with the National ID system, following MC No. 95, s. 2022, which directs all government agencies, offices, instrumentalities, and local government units (LGUs) to prepare for National ID implementation and its integration across government processes, databases, systems, and services.
