TECHNICAL NOTES
Production- refers to the quantity produced and actually harvested/to be harvested palay during the reference period.
Area Harvested- is the actual area from which harvests are realized, in hectares. This excludes crop area which was totally damaged. It may be smaller than the area planted.
Yield – an indicator of productivity derived by dividing the total production by area harvested or a number of bearing tress/hills/vines.
Irrigated Palay- is grown in area with irrigation facilities supplying water through artificial means like gravity, force/power, pump, etc.
Rainfed Palay- is grown in area without irrigation facilities and is dependent solely on rainfall for its water supply.
