On May 20, 2017, the PSA Compostela Valley staff headed by CSS Abraham Enrico E. Gulay, Jr. participated in the Brigada Eskwela 2017 at Nabunturan Central Elementary School SPED Center. A total of eleven mandays were rendered by repainting old chairs and walls, and weeding/clearing of school fields and gardens. Cleaning materials and other supplies were also donated in support with the activity.

Brigada Eskwela, also known as the National Schools Maintenance Week is conducted by the Department of Education annually to enjoin various stakeholders in the community to gather together cleaning schools and do minor repairs on classroom furniture and other facilities. Thus, gearing towards an orderly and safe opening of classes by making schools environmentally sustainable and conducive to learning.
