In a multi-agency effort during the “Bagong Pilipinas” governance brand launch last 23-24 September 2023 at Monkayo, Davao de Oro, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) played a pivotal role in its historical success in the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF). The agency took center stage by offering range of essential products and services, including the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) Step 2 or National ID registration, ePhilID (printed digital copy of PhilID) issuance, and the PhilSys Birth Registration Assistance Project (PBRAP).
This event, which brought together various government agencies to serve the people, highlighted the government’s commitment to providing accessible services that empower Filipinos and enhance their quality of life. The services offered simplify government processes, making it easier for citizens to access essential documentation and services.
“Sa akong kabahin Ma’am, magamit jud nako ning National ID kay mao namay ginapangita sa mga transakyon, sa mga bangko, barangay, tapos pag mokuha ug birth certificate sa pamilya” (From my perspective Ma’am, I can use this National ID for various transactions, at the banks, in the barangay, and even when obtaining copies of birth certificates for my family since this is what they ask for identification). Miguel Jebulan, Jr., one of the clients who received his ePhilID, expressed his appreciation of the service.
Over the course of this two-day event, PSA served 122 clients who have successfully completed their National ID registration, issued 124 ePhilID to PhilSys-registered individuals, and assisted 84 applicants for the late registration of birth through PBRAP.
The “Bagong Pilipinas” governance brand launch exemplified the government’s commitment to serving its citizens effectively through collaborative efforts among various government agencies. The PSA remains dedicated to its mission of providing relevant and reliable services that empower Filipinos and contribute to their overall well-being.
