29 November 2023 – PSA, Malita, Davao Occidental. The Philippine Statistics Authority Davao Occidental Provincial Statistical Office released the results of the 2022 Provincial Product Accounts (PPA) through a Dissemination Forum held last 29th of November 2023, 8:00 AM at Jose de Aish Babes Hotel, Poblacion, Malita Davao Occidental via face-to-face platform and virtual set-up using Facebook live.

The dissemination forum was attended by various stakeholders including local government units, provincial line agencies, Davao Occidental Provincial Statistics Committee (PSC) members and PPA data providers.

The discussants during this year’s forum were Ms. Hazel Ann V. Bautista-Siatan, Project Development Officer IV of Davao Occidental Provincial Planning and Development Office and Mr. David IV T. Lachica, Trade Industry Development Specialist of Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Davao Occidental.

The dissemination forum serves as a venue to present the economic performance of Davao Occidental for the year 2020-2022, highlighting the 2022 economic performance. The forum aims to present a comprehensive picture of the performance of the economy at the provincial level; wherein this PPA results can be used by economic planners, policymakers, and stakeholders, most importantly local government units in assessing the performance of their local economy, policy formulation and monitoring, impact analyses, among others, for an evidence-based decision-making.
