The Philippine Statistics Authority-Regional Statistical Services Office (RSSO) – Davao Region celebrates the 32nd Civil Registration Month. This annual celebration is pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 682, signed by then President Corazon Aquino on 28 January 1991, stating that Civil Registration Month is observed every February.

The annual celebration is being done to make the citizenry aware of the importance of civil registration. Hence, various activities are aligned. The CR Month Opening Ceremony was conducted on 03 February 2022, simultaneously shown at the CRS Serbilis Outlet and PhilSys Fixed Registration Center for the information of valued clients.

This years’ theme of CR Month Celebration is “Improving Civil Registration and Vital Statistics Implementation Strategies through Digital Information.” It is worthwhile to note that the Provincial Statistical Offices of Davao Region as well as the Local Civil Registry Offices have also planned activities in their respective provinces and municipalities.

The Regional Office will be conducting Regional Quiz Bee for the Local Civil Registrars/Personnel as well as PSA Regular and Contract of Service Workers on 11 February 2022 and 24 February 2022, respectively. Further, RSSO – Davao Region will also be conducting the 1st Quarter 2022 meeting with members of the Inter-Agency Committee on Civil Registration on Vital Statistics (IAACRVS) from government agencies (Department of Education, Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Health, Department of Interior and Local Government, Department of Justice, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Population Commission) on 10 February 2022. The culminating activity is the Poster Making Contest for Junior High School Students from participating National High Schools in Davao City.
