Last February 1, 2019, the Philippine Statistics Authority Davao del Sur (PSA-DDS) Provincial Statistical Office conducted the Opening Ceremony for the 2019 Civil Registration (CR) Month held at the training center of the provincial office located at Yap Building, corner of Bangoy and Monteverde Streets, Davao City. It was participated by the regular personnel of the office and as well as the job order staff and on-the-job apprentices. For this year, the celebration carried the theme: “Inclusive and responsive CRVS: Working Smarter through Innovation.”

The program was formally opened with an opening message by the Chief Statistical Specialist (CSS) of PSA-Davao del Sur Randolph Anthony B. Gales followed by his declaration of the start of Civil Registration Month Celebration. Then after, a series of presentations ensued. Renante B. Maturan, Administrative Officer I, presented a rundown of all the CR month activities to be conducted. Then, CSS Gales presented a CRVS presentation specifically on the basic information on the Civil Registration in the Philippines. Munria M. Lauban, Registration Officer II, provided the last presentation for the activity. She presented the Data Privacy Act law. After all the presentations given, a short open forum followed which provided a venue for all the participants for any clarifications about the presented topics.
