“Be yourself, but be your best self”

In this day and age, technology has been connected to the daily lives of an individual – may it be on work or personal life. Indeed, it is needed to have skills to learn and work in a society where digital technologies becoming a way of life by using mobile devices, internet, and other technology platforms (computing, database, storage, application, mobile, web, etc).

In consonance with the digital age, the PSA – Davao del Norte Provincial Statistical Office (DavNor PSO) conducted a Digital Literacy Training in cooperation with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) on 17 June 2022. Information Technology Officer (ITO) I Engineer Albert Gabriel, the Focal Person on ICT Literacy Competency and Development Bureau (ILCDB) led the Team.

The participants of the said training are the regular employees, Contract of Service Workers (COSWs), and Statistical Researchers (SRs) of DavNor PSO. The training is necessary to become digital citizens who know how to be responsible to use technology to interact with others on the digital world. Moreover, the presenters shared laws and illustrations that emphasized the appropriate utilization of technology, as it retains digital footprints of an individual.

Activities like this are highly important to be enjoined with the different government agencies, where technology is use to find and share information, while understanding the importance of privacy and security with responsibility.
