A Provincial Consultative Workshop with Stakeholders in the Agriculture and Fishery Sector was organized on March 4, 2022 by the Macroeconomic Accounts Division in coordination with the PSA Regional Statistical Services Office XI. To support the advocacy on containing the spread of COVID19, a hybrid workshop environment was conducted to allow more participants to attend online and on-site at the Training Room of PSA Davao del Norte Provincial Statistical Office, Osmeña Street, City of Tagum, Davao del Norte.

Purposely, the consultation was conducted to give the participants the overview of Provincial Product Accounts, the Value of Production in Agriculture and Fisheries at the regional and provincial levels. Moreover, inputs on the identification of commodities to be highlighted in the province of Davao del Norte were solicited from the participants. Issues and concerns related to agricultural statistics were discussed and recommendations were provided during the consultation.

To gain more inputs on Agriculture, Fishery, Livestock and Poultry, three (3) break-out sessions were arranged and facilitated on-site by Senior Statistical Specialist Reynante A. Santos and Statistical Analyst Danica L. Quebral of Macroeconomic Accounts Service - Subnational Economic Accounts Division (MAS- SEAD).

Fervent participation of 34 individuals from various Provincial/ City/Municipal Planning and Development Offices/Agriculture Offices/Veterinary and Fishery Offices, Farmer’s and Fisheries Cooperative/Associations, Livestock and Poultry Integrators, Academe, National Line Agencies, selected Central Office staff, PSO staff, Focal Persons and hired COSW were observed.
