In support to the institutionalization of the Community Based Monitoring System (CBMS) in Davao del Norte pursuant to Republic Act No. 11315, and the issuance of CBMS Council Resolution No. 06, Series of 2021, which approves the establishment of Provincial Community Based Monitoring System Coordination Board (PCCB) in the provinces, and mandates that it shall convene immediately after its organization, the PCCB of Davao del Norte assembled for an on-site meeting on 22 April 2022 at the Training Room of PSA Davao del Norte Provincial Statistical Office, Osmeña Street, City of Tagum, Davao del Norte.
The meeting was presided by the chairperson of the board, Chief Statistical Specialist Pepito D. Amoyen, and attended by the fourteen (14) members and representatives from the twenty-three (23) PCCB member offices.
During the discussions, Statistical Specialist II Charielle Mae C. Catigara presented the Overview of the 2022 Community-Based Monitoring System. She also highlighted the uses of CBMS data most especially as inputs to/bases of plans and programs of Local Government Units focusing on targeted sectors in their locality. With the synchronized conduct of the CBMS to be scheduled every three years, the LGUs will be able to construct relevant and reliable data-based policies which are appropriate to the needs of their constituents.
Moreover, it was also conveyed to the board that five (5) Local Government Units in Davao del Norte signified their interest in participating to the 2022 CBMS Rollout, one of which is a fifth-class municipality as PSA funded.
