The municipality of San Isidro in Davao del Norte is on the go to establish a Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS), as an economic and social tool for the formulation and implementation of poverty alleviation and development programs, which are specific, targeted, and responsive to the basic needs of each sector of the community. The enumeration of households will be done within the two-month period, which commenced last 8 August 2022.

Thirty-seven hired personnel underwent a comprehensive eight-day municipal-level training last 18-26 July 2022, where concepts and definitions relating to the CBMS operations were thoroughly discussed. Discussed likewise during the training, were field operation scenarios, and possible issues and concerns that may arise during enumeration.

CSS Pepito D. Amoyen relayed the importance of CBMS hired personnel on producing quality data.

Chief Statistical Specialist Pepito D. Amoyen of PSA Davao del Norte Provincial Statistical Office underscored the importance of Enumerators, as the primary data-collecting body on producing quality official statistics, in adherence to statistical standards, procedures, and concepts of CBMS.

Mayor Silvano B. Gaje encouraging the CBMS hired personnel to do their work as instructed.

LGU local officials, likewise expressed their full support to this nationwide undertaking, as they recognized the necessity of having official data-driven budgeting for implementation of official plans, activities, programs and policies to effectively address the needed interventions to their target constituents.

The 2022 CBMS is the first CBMS implementation spearheaded by the Philippine Statistics Authority, as mandated by Republic Act No. 11315 or the Community-Based Monitoring System Act signed into law last 17 April 2019 by then President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
