The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) is proud to announce the official opening of another PhilSys Step 2 Registration Center in Davao del Sur located at Padada Central Elementary School, Barangay NCO, Municipality of Padada. The PhilSys Registration Team (PRT) of Padada composed of three (3) teams with three (3) Registration Center Supervisors, nine (9) Registration Kit Operators, three (3) Screeners and three (3) Alternate Screeners. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held last September 09, 2021.

In attendance were Mr. Randolph Anthony B. Gales, Chief Statistical Specialist (CSS), Ms. Munria Lauban- Banto, PhilSys Provincial Focal Person together with Mr. Lord Anthony Jandayan, Assistant PhilSys Provincial Focal Person and full support from Local Government Unit spearheaded by Mayor Pedro F. Caminero Jr., Vice Mayor Francisco L. Guerrero Jr., Board Member Atty Carmelo Delos Cientos III, SB Member Carmelo M. Delos Cientos IV, Barangay Captain of NCO Hon. Dario Ordaneza, Municipal Civil Registrar Engr. Emmanuel Narca and Principal Roden B. Gomez.

The program was officially opened by CSS Gales remarking the importance of National ID. He also added a.) that the gathered information of the registrants was protected under Data Privacy Act in coordination with Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT); b.) that last year the program prioritizes low-income households for a pre-registration; c.) with an agreement with Landbank the registrants can open an ATM account by presenting their transaction slip during the registration. He also shares how important the National ID for any government activities, aside from sharing that PhilID’s were printed by Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), our National ID does not contain the signature to avoid forgery. He ends his statement by encouraging everyone to register for Philippine ID.

Afterwards, Mayor Pedro F. Caminero delivered his message that he will support PSA all the way. He instructed Brgy Captain Dario Ordaneza to assign Barangay Tanods for PhilSys operation crowd control and security purposes of the equipment.
