PhilID Replacement for defective front-facing photograph was introduced in the Province of Davao Occidental

Given the mandate of the PSA to ensure the good quality of the PhilID during card personalization, kitting and distribution, the PSA will issue a replacement PhilID upon request of registered persons who have received PhilIDs with damages and/or defective front-facing photographs so that the latter can avail the PhilSys-enabled services.

In the 2nd half of the year 2023 there are 23 PhilID Card holders from Davao Occidental who requested for a replacement of their PhilIDs. Out of the 23, 14 PhilIDs have been replaced by PhilSys Registry Office and were sent to PSA Davao Occidental and delivered to the PhilID owner.

TRN Retrieval newest addition on PhilSys Services

Registrants who happen to lose their transaction slips now have a chance to retrieve their transaction reference number. By reporting the case to the PhilSys Reporting Matrix the registrant’s transaction number can now be generated.

The process usually takes 3-5 days per registrant, the registrant who usually availed this service also request for their ePhilID. This greatly improves the service that the PhilSys offers as this will increase the number of clients that would request their ePhilIDs as it is recognized as one of the most presented IDs for verification.

Republic Act No. 11055, or the Philippine Identification System Act, signed into law by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte on August 06, 2018, aims to establish a single national identification system for all citizens and resident aliens of the Republic of the Philippines. The valid proof of identity provided by the PhilSys shall be a means of simplifying public and private transactions, and shall be a social and economic platform that promotes seamless social service delivery and strengthens financial inclusion for both public and private services. As a foundational digital ID System, the PhilSys will transform how services are delivered in the Philippines, and accelerate our transition into a digital economy, including to enable presence-less, paperless, and cashless transactions.
