In compliance with President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s Proclamation No. 929 and 922 (s. 2020) and Republic Act No. 11332 and in view of the increase in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases throughout the country, the general public is hereby informed that the Philippine Statistics Authority adopts the following actions relevant to the imposition of Enhanced Community Quarantine and Stringent Social Distancing Measures nationwide:

Inflation in Davao Region boosts to 2.4 percent in February 2020

Davao Region’s inflation continued to rose at 2.4 percent in February 2020, which was 0.2 percent higher compared to January 2020. The recorded inflation in February 2020 was relatively lower against the 4.5 percent inflation in the same month of last year. Meanwhile,the purchasing power of peso (PPP) decreased to 81 centavos (see Table 1). By province, Davao del Norte and Davao de Oro had the highest inflation rate at 2.6 percent a piece. This was followed by Davao del Sur at 2.5 percent. Meanwhile, Davao Oriental has the lowest inflation at 1.0 percent, from a 2.3 percent inflation rate in the previous month.

Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Davao Region regularly conducts a Client Satisfaction Survey (CSS) to measure if indeed the office is performing along its vision as solid, responsive and world-class in providing efficient civil registration services. Clients at Civil Registration Service (CRS) Outlet are asked as to the satisfaction on the services they have received. Results are used as reference on initiating specific strategies to improve the services of the office on civil registration
