PSA Davao de Oro Conducts Provincial Inflation Report for February 2024

 

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Davao de Oro, spearheaded by Chief Statistical Specialist (CSS) Abraham Enrico E. Gulay, Jr., has successfully conducted its first Online Report on Davao de Oro's Inflation last 12 March 2024. This marks a significant step in providing valuable insights into the economic landscape of the province.
SUMMARY INFLATION REPORT OF DAVAO DE ORO PROVINCE Consumer Price Index, (2018 = 100) FEBRUARY 2024

 

The headline inflation of prices in Davao de Oro increased to 4.9 percent in February 2024 from 4.1 percent in January 2024, or an increase of 0.8 percentage point. Inflation of prices in February 2023 was higher at 12.3 percent. The average inflation for the year 2024 stood at 4.5 percent.
REGISTERED LIVE BIRTHS IN MONKAYO, 2022

 

In 2022, a total of 757 live births were registered in Monkayo, which is equivalent to a crude birth rate (CBR) of 7.8 or 8 births per thousand population.
REGISTERED LIVE BIRTHS IN MONTEVISTA, 2022

 

In 2022, a total of 3,767 live births were registered in Montevista, which is equivalent to a crude birth rate (CBR) of 79.1 or 79 births per thousand population.
Registered Live Births in Mawab, 2022

 

In 2022, a total of 81 live births were registered in Davao de Oro, which is equivalent to a crude birth rate (CBR) of 2.1 or 2 births per thousand population. In the past four years, the number of registered live births showed a decrease of 60.7 percent from 206 in 2019 to 81 in 2022. Compared with the number from the preceding year when the pandemic was still prevailing, it indicated a decrease of 55.7 percent from 183 in 2021.
Registered Live Births in Maragusan, 2022

 

In 2022, a total of 945 live births were registered in Maragusan, which is equivalent to a crude birth rate (CBR) of 14.4 or 14 births per thousand population. In the past four years, the number of registered live births showed an increase of 13.3 percent from 834 in 2019 to 945 in 2022. Compared with the number from the preceding year when the pandemic was still prevailing, it indicated an increase of 13.3 percent from 834 in 2021.
Registered Live Births in Mabini, 2022

 

In 2022, a total of 102 live births were registered in Mabini, which is equivalent to a crude birth rate (CBR) of 2.2 or 2 births per thousand population. In the past four years, the number of registered live births showed an increase of 104.0 percent from 50 in 2019 to 102 in 2022. Compared with the number from the preceding year when the pandemic was still prevailing, it indicated an increase of 126.7 percent from 45 in 2021.
Registered Live Births in Laak, 2022

 

In 2022, a total of 1,177 live births were registered in Laak, which is equivalent to a crude birth rate (CBR) of 15.2 or 15 births per thousand population. In the past four years, the number of registered live births showed an increase of 14.2 percent from 1,031 in 2019 to 1,177 in 2022
Registered Live Births in Compostela, 2022

 

In 2022, a total of 822 live births were registered in Compostela, which is equivalent to a crude birth rate (CBR) of 9.0 or 9 births per thousand population. The number of registered live births showed an increase of 24.0 percent from 663 in 2019 to 822 in 2022
Registered Live Births in Maco, 2022

 

In 2022, a total of 158 live births were registered in Maco, which is equivalent to a crude birth rate (CBR) of 1.7 or 2 births per thousand population. In the past four years, the number of registered live births showed a decrease of 14.1 percent from 184 in 2019 to 158 in 2022. Compared with the number from the preceding year when the pandemic was still prevailing, it indicated a decrease of 36.3 percent from 248 in 2021.

The headline inflation of prices in Davao de Oro decreased to 4.1 percent in January 2024 from 4.7 percent in December 2023 or a decrease of 0.6 percentage point. Inflation of prices in January 2023 was higher at 12.2 percent. The average inflation for the first month of 2024 stood at 4.1 percent
